Please see below for the requirements for a first year member: First Year active Firematic membership obligations________________________________ 1. Firefighter 2000 Basic Course 2. 10% of all fire calls 3. 10 Social Hours · 2 committee hours · 8 fund raising hours 4. 6 Drills · Blood borne · Haz-Mat 8 hours course 5. 6 Monday night quick call after first year active firematic membership obligations_______________________________ 1. 10% of all fire calls 2. 20 Social Hours · 5 committee hours · 15 fund raising
3. 6 Drills · Blood borne · Haz-Mat refresher 4. 6 Monday Night Quick Calls “FYI”· An arson/background check will be conducted on all candidates for membership. · Candidates who are verified to not have a prior arson conviction will be scheduled for a physical at the expense of the Rombout Fire District. Members that schedule the Physical and Fail to show up will be assesed the fee for the physical. This physical does include a drug screening. · A new first year member will have their social and firematic obligations prorated where eligible. · Company meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. The meeting starts at 7 PM at Station 1 · The Fire District will provide each member with protective clothing and pager at no expense to the individual. The Fire District maintains a service awards program and life insurance program which a member is eligible for |
