Rombout Fire Company takes pride in honoring its members and auxiliary that have answered their last alarm with an annual Memorial Service. This years service was held Sunday, September 17, at 9:30AM at Rombout Fire Station 1, 901 Main St, Fishkill, NY. President Bruce Nash opened the service with the pledge of allegiance. Treasurer Dan Silvestri led the company with a blessing and prayers. Vice-President Kevin Scofield read off each of the fifty-five names of those who served unselfishly to this community, while Bruce rang the memorial bell in their honor. This years service was the first for reading off Charles "Chuck" Theiss, Frank Repose and Robert "Bob" Harvatin. Sharon Forbes read off the fifteen names of the Ladies Auxiliary. Dan Silvestri followed with another prayer and the service was concluded.
